The Association for Transnational Higher Education Accreditation (ATHEA)
The Association for Transnational Higher Education Accreditation (ATHEA) is a voluntary, non-governmental membership body based in Vienna, Austria. It is dedicated to quality assurance through institutional accreditation of degree- and diploma-granting higher education institutions worldwide. ATHEA provides accrediting and quality assurance services, conducts independent peer reviews, and awards accreditation or pre-accreditation status to member institutions. It also seeks registration with the European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR) for higher education.
