For Industry Leaders

Certified Executive Program in Agentic AI: Strategy, Automation & Intelligent Systems

Generative AI answers questions. Agentic AI takes action. This program prepares senior leaders to design, deploy and govern AI systems that plan, decide and execute  and to lead that transition with confidence across their organization.

As AI increasingly shapes strategic and operational outcomes, leadership requires more than adoption  it demands governance, oversight, and direction. This program enables participants to gain a deeper understanding of the role of agentic AI within enterprise ecosystems, evaluate governance, compliance, and operational risks, develop effective frameworks for responsible autonomous systems, translate AI capabilities into executive-level strategy, and lead enterprise AI transformation with confidence and control. This is not a technical certification.
It is an executive leadership program designed for the AI-driven era.

Outcomes That Matter

Understand how autonomous agents plan, decide and act and where human judgment must remain in the loop.
Leave with a governance framework and transformation roadmap you can present to your leadership team.
Faculty who have designed and deployed agentic systems across regulated industries
Every exercise, case and the capstone project are built around your business context.

Preparing Leaders for the Agentic AI Revolution

From Content Generation to Autonomous Execution

Business Implications

Competitive Advantage

The program is designed for experienced professionals who influence how AI is adopted, governed or scaled within their organization — typically with 8+ years of experience. No coding background is required.

The 10 weekends follow a deliberate three-phase arc:

PHASE
WEEKENDS
ARC
COMPREHEND
1 to 3
What is this technology, why does it matter for my industry, and what’s the competitive threat? Participants build their first AI agent, witness live demos, and construct an AI Exposure Map for their organisation.
GOVERN
4 To 7
How do I manage autonomous agents, defend deployments to regulators, win clinician/employee trust, and handle AI failures? Four weekends of escalating simulation intensity the governance muscle-building phase.
STRATEGISE
8 To 10
What’s my 18-month roadmap? Participants run the Divergence Engine, rehearse board presentations, and assemble their final AI Governance & Strategy Report.

By the end of the program, participants will possess the technical understanding, governance expertise, and leadership capabilities needed to evaluate, deploy, and defend AI initiatives while driving organization-wide transformation and stakeholder alignment.

Industry Tracks

Participants can choose from five industry-specific tracks, each designed to address sector challenges, leadership priorities, and high-impact AI use cases. Programme Modules

Is This Programme Right for You?

The Certified Executive Program in Agentic AI: Strategy, Automation & Intelligent Systems is an executive leadership programme from Bradford Business School designed for senior professionals who need to understand, govern, and lead the shift from generative AI to autonomous, agentic AI systems within their organizations. It is not a technical certification. It is a strategic and governance-focused programme that equips leaders to evaluate risk, build oversight frameworks, and translate AI capability into board-level strategy.

Generative AI responds to prompts and produces content, while agentic AI plans, decides, and executes actions autonomously, moving from output creation to independent workflow execution. This shift changes where value is created in an organization, from simple assistance to genuine autonomy, and it requires leaders to build new governance structures around accountability, auditability, and human oversight.

The programme is designed for experienced professionals, typically with 8 or more years of experience, who influence how AI is adopted, governed, or scaled within their organization. This includes C-Suite and senior executives (CEO, COO, CIO, CTO), functional and department leaders, management consultants and advisors, entrepreneurs and founders, technology and product leaders, and innovation or digital transformation leads. No coding background is required.

No. The programme is built for business and organizational leaders rather than developers, and no coding background is required to participate. The curriculum focuses on strategic decision-making, governance, and executive oversight of AI systems rather than the technical engineering of AI models or agents.

The programme runs across 10 weekends organized into three deliberate phases. The Comprehend phase (Weekends 1 to 3) introduces the technology and its competitive implications, including building a first AI agent and constructing an AI Exposure Map. The Govern phase (Weekends 4 to 7) focuses on managing autonomous agents, regulatory defense, and stakeholder trust through escalating simulations. The Strategise phase (Weekends 8 to 10) has participants build an 18-month roadmap, rehearse board presentations, and assemble a final AI Governance and Strategy Report.

Participants can choose from five industry-specific tracks tailored to sector-relevant AI use cases: Healthcare, Supply Chain & Logistics, Retail & CPG, Financial Services, and Human Resources & Talent. Each track applies agentic AI concepts to the specific operational, compliance, and leadership challenges of that sector, allowing participants to build governance frameworks and strategy that are directly relevant to their industry.

By completion, participants will be able to distinguish agentic AI from generative AI and explain its governance implications to a board, build a simple AI agent and understand its failure modes, evaluate AI vendor proposals with technical and commercial literacy, and design agent governance frameworks calibrated to their regulatory environment. They will also construct and present a board-ready AI transformation roadmap and lead stakeholder engagement for AI adoption, including managing workforce resistance.

Lead the Shift From Generative to Agentic AI.
